PHI 276: Women and Western Philosophy


(3 cr. )

Studies the concept, role and clue of women in the canon of Western Philosophy from Plato to contemporary philosophy. Discusses controversies in feminist social ethics, including marketing femininity, pornography, censorship, women in the work force and women’s fertility.

Lecture 3 hours per week.
