Purpose: Cybersecurity and Networking Foundation career studies certificate program prepares students for introductory IT knowledge and skills and to recognize, prevent and defend against threats to information and information systems.

In order for students to be well prepared and successful in all areas of IT including key areas of Cyber Security and Networking, students need to be introduced into the basic topics of operating systems, computer hardware, networking concepts, programming, and cybersecurity core topics. 

Occupational Objectives: Prepare students for entry level help desk positions. Prepare students for computer network support specialist.

Admissions Requirements: All students will be required to demonstrate college readiness through transcript review or informed self-placement.  Based on this review students may request or be required to enroll in prerequisite or corequisite math and/or English courses.
