Education: Students interested in teaching would chose this pathway. There are specific degrees for Early Childhood and Education and degrees include an observation course. Careers include: Day Care Director, Elementary School Teacher, High School Teacher.

Social and Behavioral Science: Encompassing courses in history, psychology, sociology, and other disciplines, this Pathways is designed to provide general education courses which are part of virtually all degree programs at Germanna Community College as well as most transfer programs. Students interested in working as a social worker, counselor, local government worker, or teacher would choose this pathway.

Transfer degree programs such as Education provide opportunities to continue education by offering general education courses that prepare you to transfer and continue your education at a 4-year college or university.
